A Study of the effects of Moxibustion at Shimsu ( BL15 ) and Pisu ( BL20 ) on lipid in serum

Abstract
|
|
|
In order to study the effects of Moxibustion on artherosclerosis and hyperlipidemia, white rats were induced lipid metabolism disorder by the oral-injection of cholesterol.
The Moxibustion was treated into Shimsu(BL_(15)), Pisu(BL_(20)) and Shimsu(BL_(15))+Pisu(BL_(20)), these loci were correspond to human body.
The effects of Moxibustion on artherosclerosis and hyperlipidemia were measured by the quantity of total cholesterol and of HDL-cholesterol and of triglyceride and of phospholipid, by the rate of total cholesterol vs HDL-cholesterol and of total cholesterol vs phospholipid in serum. As a result, we can conclude as follows:
1. Effects of Moxibustion at Shimsu(BL_(15)) on artherosclerosis and hyperlipidemia were unnoticed.
2. Effects of Moxibustion at Pisu(BL_(20)) artherosclerosis and hyperlipidemia were very noticeable.
3. Effects of Moxibustion at Shimsu(BL_(15)) and Pisu(BL_(20)) on artherosclerosis and hyperlipidemia were noticeable.
